My name is Siwar Kraytem and I am a 23 year old graphic designer from Beirut. I am passionate about illustration, design, cycling, and the outdoors. I have been pedaling through the streets of Beirut for 4 years now, it has helped me find my balance in the city of organized chaos. This guide is a translation of my experience of cycling around Beirut and it's what I have to offer to anyone willing to start a cycling quest. I am currently a designer at 'mind the gap'. I am also part of other cycling-related projects including: Regar, a cooking pot of bike-related reflections and thoughts, Deghri messengers, the first bike messenger project in the Arab world, and Critical mass, a monthly bike ride that joins the lovers of bicycles. Outside the world of bicycles, I am a silk-screen aficionado and run a silk-screen workshop at mansion with two other talented ladies where we work on our personal projects and organise workshops from time to time.
