Like many Arabic foods overseas these days, the falafel is becoming culturally appropriated by other cultures overseas and its origins are becoming more obscure to the average tourist. Food is a huge part of our Arab culture and we want to make sure that when foods like falafel are presented abroad, they represent the best of our culture, hospitality, and traditions.
Our falafel shop will be dedicated to selling the best quality falafel outside of the Middle East, and promoting it as a healthy, vegan dish that originates in Arab countries such as Palestine. Our pilot city will likely be in Thailand, due to its proximity to the Middle East, the wide mix of tourist nationalities present, and the prevalence of street food.
