What's a Bibi?
The word "bibi" is short for "habibi" (my love), and is the regular expression I let out after I finish illustrating one. As much as I am affected by them, they have proven to put an instant smile on people's faces. Which is why I decided to venture into making them available to all people in the market.
They came to life as a reaction to the cliché and déjà vu
souvenir gifts present in Lebanese shops (ie: cedar tree, phoenician man,
Raouché rock, to name some of the mundane), are genuinely being appreciated by
buyers as a fresh twist to our cultural representation.
So what's the plan?
1. Expand the brand into various gift forms.
2.Target different national identities, starting with UAE.
Why the $$$$?
The funds will:
1. Pay for business trips, accommodation, transportation, studying the culture, people and competitors, marketing my product and building connections with interested shop owners.
2. Support the diversification of the product range into coasters, keychains, t-shirts, toys and so on. The money will allow the direct production of the latter before I make my first trip and solidify the Bibies' presence in the Lebanese market before I take off.
3. Allow me to hire an assistant and a marketer who will lighten daily duties thus freeing me for the expansion and the creative part of the job.
Want to contribute without paying?
Excited to see the Bibies in your own country?
And want them to keep coming around with fun and happy ideas? Simply hit the
share buttons and put in a good word. Bibies will be very grateful!
