IDRAAC (a Lebanese NGO dedicated to mental health) in raising funds to treat patients suffering from various mental health disorders (such as depression, anxiety, panic attacks, obsessive compulsive disorder, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, among others, …). IDRAAC will be directing these funds for the support of a free mental health clinic dedicated to offer treatment and awareness services.
We aim to raise one dollar for every meter that Adam, a young 17 year old student, ran during the Beirut Marathon to reach the target of USD 42,195 which will help support this clinic. While most people affected by mental health conditions suffer in silence, Adam ran forward for people who are dealing with mental health problems as he, himself did not run away but rather ran forward to overcome his own problems.
Adam ran for a cause that touches 25 % of the Lebanese population and yet is hugely sidelined by the vast majority in our society.
His run was the beginning of our crowdfunding campaign #CrossTheLine!
