These puppies were saved after their mum got hit by a car.The increasing number of homeless dogs in Tripoli has become a major problem in the city and its suburbs. Their chaotic distribution around the city has caused the citizens many problems. This issue has been handled irrationally through shooting the dogs dead, and only clever dogs that are able to run fast and hide are able to escape this destiny. Some people run across homeless dogs and take care of them for a certain period of time but and up abandoning them again. That’s how the idea of creating a dog’s shelter came to light. This is ultimately one of the duties of municipalities, but since they have other priorities it is time for the private sector to take the lead. The project’s direct purpose is to find shelter for homeless dogs to decrease their number in the streets and save their lives. The project will be executed in a land located in Mina (North Lebanon). The 2000 square meters land will be equipped with a veterinary, a grooming room, and a training area to operate and receive the maximum number of dogs possible. As for the internal division of duties, it will be divided upon a group of motivated dog lovers and owners who are eager to start the work as soon as possible. An expert trainer will be hired to teach the team all the techniques related to dogs’ training and rescuing. Since the main purpose behind the project is dog rescuing, a hotline will be created. People will become able to use this number 24/7 to report any homeless dogs in their neighborhood, and to report any accident or emergency.
