My name's Rich Thornton, I'm 27 years old, and I'm a British writer living in Lebanon. Before moving to Beirut I was writing theatre in London, teaching creative writing to kids, playing in a band, and running charity events. In November 2012, I produced my first full-length play 'Who the James is Jim Darke? at The Breakfast Club in London. The show ran for three-nights and sold out every night. Here in Beirut, I've been working on the play MAKE ME while working part time as a journalist and travelling around the country. I love starting projects and getting excited about them. I love collaboration and always try to bring lots of enthusiastic people on board with what I'm doing. I believe in the vitalising power of all art - and especially love the physical, direct nature of making and seeing theatre.
