I'm a Lebanese-American, born in Lebanon and raised in the US. In 2008, after completing my B.A. in International Studies at UC San Diego and my M.A. in City Planning at MIT, I decided to move back to Lebanon to work on youth empowerment. A young girl in an isolated Lebanese village changed my life in 2009 and it is from that encounter that I thought about starting The Nawaya Network. After spending one year working with the UN in New York in 2010, I returned to Lebanon to establish The Nawaya Network, and I have never been happier or more fulfilled!
