I rescued Wilson when he was only 2 months old, while he was eating from the garbage on a construction site. He literally looked like a sewer rat, he grew into a beautiful playful dog who loves the outdoors, his chuckit, his frisbee, and being around other dogs.
For those of you who know Wilson, you are probably aware that he’s been struggling with anxiety since he was 6 months old. He is turning 4 years old this Christmas, and his anxiety has been worse then ever. He chases his tail aggressively for hours on end. Through the good times and the bad times, I have never left Wilson’s side; and I don't intend on doing so. He has given me so much and I owe it to him to help him with everything I have. I put together a little video which you can view on this page, showing the time I rescued Wilson, his happy and less happy times dealing with anxiety, and a heartbraking epsiode filmed only a few days ago showing one of his anxiety attacks, as I call them.
The cost of nursing him back to health is very high and I cannot make it on my own, this is why I am reaching out to our friends to help us out with medical tests and bills, treatments and behaviorist fees. I have consulted several vets in Lebanon and abroad, a veterinary behaviorist, as well as a behavioral specialist who managed to help Wilson in the past.
The costs include an RMI, fecal and blood tests; anxiety reducing equipment (pheromon collars, thudershirt), pills, ointments and relaxing oils such as CBD oils; 20 hours with a dedicated behaviorist, a 2 hour online consultation with an American vet behaviorist, and potential retreat fees at a boarding facilities with other dogs to help him change his environment to a positive one.
